Paris Saint-Germain weigh up move for wantaway Bayern Munich man Lewandowski

Paris Saint-Germain have declared their interest in taking Polish striker Robert Lewandowski off Bayern Munich’s hands amidst Barcelona’s efforts to sign the striker.

The 33-year-old is arguably the best striker in the world today. His time at Bayern Munich has been exemplary for young strikers who look to his professionalism, confidence and his all round play to be able to build their careers.

However, the football community, in the last few months, have been treated to an unsavoury side of the Poland international as he tries to force his way out of the Allianz Arena. Outbursts after outbursts have followed from the former Borussia Dortmund man, who is Barcelona’s key target for the summer.

The Catalans have long been in discussions with Lewandowski with club president Joan Laporta making a series of promises to him and his agent, Pini Zahavi. Barcelona see him as a solution to their attacking and marketing problems in the short term.

But with their well-publicised financial situation, their hopes of signing Lewandowski have now come under even more threat as PSG have entered the equation. The chase was reported to be initiated by new sporting director Luis Campos. It is understood that his agreement with Barcelona is almost airtight and that it could take a big offer to Lewandowski, who is nearing the end of his illustrious career.

The Poland national team captain could find it tough breaking into the star-studded attack line of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar.

The talented Angel Di Maria was forced into the midfield and also kept on the bench due to these talents. The versatility of the Argentine made it easy for him to be able to get minutes, but with Lewandowski’s only skill set being an amazing number nine, he could find it a lot more difficult breaking into the first team.
